We have full in-house design facilities using various tools to calculate and develop reliable designs. Our experience of machine tool design and building goes back many years and over many different types of machines and with that experience we take best ideas forward to design you the best solution.
Mechanical Design – Interestingly, mechanical design is the first stage of electrical design, in that calculations for mass and inertias have to be defined prior to spindle and servo motors being defined. Then it is onto the custom design of making a mechanical machine perform quickly and efficiently utilising the most modern materials and equipment on the market. All drawings are finished in 2D Autocad and issued to for manufacture and machining. Assembly drawings are made up and then the team have all they require to manufacture your machine tool.
Electrical Design – Electrical design is the fundamental design of the electrical system whereby components and cables can be ordered, panels can be built and wires can be pulled through the machine and connected. Safety is our number one priority and everything we do conforms and in most cases, exceeds current legislation relating to the country where the machine is bound for.
CNC Systems – There are many CNC systems on the market and many customers already know the type of control they want, however if you do not know, we can guide you. The control systems have to be defined early on, to allow the identification of the control, drives, servo and spindle motors which generally have a long delivery period. During that time the detailed electrical design can be completed and when the package arrives, it is a case of building the equipment and integrating the systems.
PLC Design – Sometime a machine does not need the complexity or indeed the cost of a high tech solution and in that case we will design and develop a PLC software system to support the needs of the machine tool and the customer.
Software Design – With all of the modern systems there is an element of software design and we have the inhouse ability to support those needs. We can develop the screens and operator interfaces to your specific needs for flexibility and efficiency within you business.
