Control Systems

Control technology moves fast! In its wake it leaves a requirement for the updating of early generation equipment. To satisfy this need we offer a machince tools retrofitting service which allows the customer to choose which control systems he wants to complement other exiting equipment in his factory. Some examples of systems used are, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Heidenhain, G.E., Marpos and N.U.M.

Axis positioning is achieved by either rotary or linear encoder depending on required accuracies, Calibration of the axis is available by using Laser Interfermeter and entering pitch error compensation values into the control system.

A wide range of D.C. or A.C. servo packages are available to allow maximum customer choice.

Repair Work

All forms machine tools repair work are undertaken and we have developed special experience in the repair of broken or damaged castings.

Slideway Grinding

In-house reprecisioning of slideways up to 7.6m (25ft) in length. The fitting of low coefficient of friction material to sliding surfaces is also a standard practice.
