With over 35 years of experience in machine tool renovations and retrofits. GAC know the foundation of any machine tool accuracy is dependent upon the quality and accuracy of its slideways, taper and keep strips.

We offer a full slideway refurbishment package for your CNC or conventional machine. Our highly skilled service engineers, can decommission your machine and deliver it to our premises in Halifax. Where we have the ability to refurbish the slideways by either grinding , planing or milling, prior to fitting low friction material. Slideways or beds can then be hand scraped or frosted if required.

Our Highly skilled machinists have the ability to grind vees, square edged and trapezoidal slideways. We also have the ability to manufacture replacement or new gib and taper strips. We have experience in grinding all types of lathes, milling and grinding machines as well as one off special purpose machines and one off, or batches of large component parts.
